Terms of use
Draft: have a lawyer review this before you launch. Last updated: 24 October 2026.
These terms are between you and [your company name] ("we", "us"), who run Cookie Shape (cookieshape.com). By creating an account you agree to them.
1. What Cookie Shape is
Cookie Shape helps you design cookie cutters, stamps, stencils, molds and similar baking tools and download files (STL or 3MF) that you print yourself on a 3D printer.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old and give a real email address.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- We may disable accounts that break these terms or abuse the service.
3. Credits, subscriptions and payments
- Some features use credits: AI shapes, design reviews and file downloads. The price in credits is shown in the app and can change; the price you saw when you paid for credits is the credits you get.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. Unused credits stay on your account while it is open and are lost when you delete it.
- A subscription renews every month until you cancel it in "Manage subscription". Cancelling stops future payments; credits already added stay with you.
- Because you receive digital files straight away, you agree that the right to withdraw from a purchase ends once you download a file or use an AI feature, where the law allows this. If something went wrong with a purchase, write to us and we will make it right.
- If an AI feature fails, the credits for it are returned automatically.
4. Your designs and what you may upload
- You may only upload, trace, draw or generate designs that you made or have the right to use.
- Do not use logos, brands, cartoon or film characters, or other protected work that you do not have permission to use. AI prompts that name well-known brands and characters are blocked.
- You keep the rights to your own designs. You give us permission to store and process them to run the service.
- Files you make from protected designs are your responsibility, especially if you sell cutters or cookies made with them.
- We may remove designs and accounts after a complaint from a rights holder.
4a. Selling designs on the marketplace
- You may list a design only if you made it or have the right to sell it. It must not contain logos, brands, cartoon or film characters or other protected work you do not own.
- Prices are in euros, or free. Buyers need an account and pay by card through Stripe. We keep a share of each paid sale (shown when you list a design); the rest is your earning. We pay out your earnings by bank transfer or PayPal to the details you give us in your dashboard. If a sale is refunded, its earning is removed. You are responsible for any taxes on what you earn.
- New listings may be checked before they appear. We may refuse or remove a listing at any time, for example after a complaint from a rights holder, and we may remove it without a refund of the share already earned if you broke these rules.
- A buyer receives a copy of the design for their own use and may change it. They may make and sell cookies and cutters from it, but may not resell the design file itself.
- You are responsible for your designs: whether they print and work, and whether you are allowed to sell them. We do not check this for you.
5. AI output
AI shapes are made by third-party AI services and may resemble existing works. Check the result before you use it, and before you sell anything made from it. We do not promise that AI output is unique or free of third-party rights.
6. Food safety and safe use
- 3D-printed plastic is porous and can hold bacteria. Use food-safe filament, wash by hand only, and replace worn or rough tools.
- Do not use printed tools with hot pans, ovens or boiling water. PLA softens at around 55 °C.
- Line molds with food-safe silicone and keep tools clean and dry between uses.
- Cutter edges can be sharp enough to cut skin. Keep them away from young children.
- Default settings are estimates. Print a test piece before relying on a design.
7. No guarantees and limits on our liability
The service is provided "as is". We do not promise that designs will print well on every printer, that the service will always be available, or that it is free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profit, or damage caused by printing or using a design. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing limits your rights as a consumer.
8. Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time in "My account". We can end or suspend your access if you break these terms. Sections that should survive (for example 4, 5, 6 and 7) do.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If the change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it starts. Using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of [your country]. Questions or complaints: [your contact email]. [your company name], [your address].
